What kind of subsurface do I need for VersaCourt?
A. Either a concrete or asphalt subsurface is recommended for VersaCourt, however, it can be installed over a very level and highly compacted stone base, with the top layer of stone being a very fine limestone or recycled concrete. We recommend a broom finish on the concrete with between .5% and 1% slope. Contact us for installation specifications for installing over a compacted stone base.
What is VersaCourt made of?
A. VersaCourt is manufactured from high impact virgin co-polymer that is pre-mixed & blended with premium UV protectant colorant material at the plant prior to shipment to our injection molding plant. The UV package is the very best automotive UV protectant package available in the industry.
Can I drive over VersaCourt?
A. Yes, VersaCourt can be driven over. You should just be careful and not turn sharply on it or twist wheels while vehicle is stationary as it may twist and pop tile loose. VersaCourt tile are commonly used for garage floors.
How do I clean my VersaCourt?
A. Outdoor VersaCourt Pro courts can be cleaned with a leaf blower, with a garden hose or a power washer.
Will extreme cold harm the VersaCourt tile?
A. No, the tile are made of a very strong copolymer material that has been brittle tested to -25F. We have installed hundreds of courts in harsh climates in the north such as Minnesota and Canada.
Will extreme heat and sun harm the tile?
A. The tile heat and sun will not harm the tile. VersaCourt tile are made with the very best automotive UV protectionavailable. Although tile will naturally lighten over time, they should keep their color for many year
What are the measurements of the tile?
A. The tile are ¾” inch thick and measure 10.14” x 10.14” (this allows for expansion gap)
What is the warranty and life expectancy of the VersaCourt tile?
A. VersaCourt Pro outdoor tile carry a 15 year limited warranty. Because the product is made of a high impact long lasting copolymer material, we expect the life of a well maintained court to be 25-30 years.
Can I roller skate & roller blade on VersaCourt tile?
A. Yes, VersaCourt is quite suitable for roller blading or roller skating.
Is VersaCourt slippery when wet?
A. Because they are made of Polypropylene plastic, the tile can be slightly slippery when wet. However, the super grip surface design of the tile helps overcome this and because it is an open grid design that drains immediately, as soon as it quits raining, the court dries very rapidly.
